Bill Harnisch

Producer

Bill Harnisch is best known in the financial world as an institutional and individual investment advisor. Founder and CEO of Peconic Partners, Harnisch serves on the investment committee of the board of Baruch College, his alma mater, which awarded him an honorary doctorate in 2011.

In recent years, he has turned his attention to the movie business. With his wife Ruth Ann, he produces narrative and documentary films through their HarHar Productions, in partnership with Impact Partners, and as lead investors and advisors to Superlative Films.

His credits include 17 documentaries, including the winner of the 2018 Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature, “Icarus.” He is an executive producer of the documentary “The Feeling of Being Watched,” premiering this week at the Tribeca Film Festival.

Through the William F. Harnisch Foundation, he is a supporter of Sundance Institute and a participant in the Catalyst Film Financing community.

Harnisch is grateful to Ebertfest for joining the Gotham Awards and the Film Independent Spirit Awards (as well as the many critics who included it in their “best of 2017” lists) in recognizing the cinematic artistry of “Columbus,” its luminous acting ensemble and its gifted director, Kogonada.
