Jennifer Merlin is president of the Alliance of Women Film Journalists, editing and publishing the organization's multi-blog website at AWFJ.org, where she also writes the “Cinema Citizen” blog. Jennifer has been a weekly reviewer/interviewer for NY Press, About.com, Women's eNews. a columnist for the AP, LA Times Syndicate, Tribune Media Services, and ArcaMax Publishing, and a frequent contributor to USA Today, LA Times, Christian Science Monitor, SoHo News, and other print media. She's been an on-air reporter for ABC, CBS, NBC, and Westwood One Radio Networks, and produced documentaries for PBS and ABC's 2020. A Tisch SOA grad, she's acted Off-Broadway, in regional theaters and Tokyo, where she was a member of the famed Tenjo Sajiki theater company and made films -- in Japanese! She's taught at U of Wisconsin, U of Rhode Island and in NYC prisons. She's a member of BFCA, where she's served as co-Chair of the Critics Choice Documentary Awards Nominating Committees.
